Play and Learn School (PALS) is a privately owned, non-sectarian preschool located in Hillsborough, New Jersey.  We are fully licensed by the state and have been in the Hillsborough area for almost 20 years!

PALS offers three programs that are designed to prepare your child socially and academically for kindergarten and beyond.  Our classes are two and half hours long and are available in the morning and afternoon.  Classes meet 2 - 5 times per week depending on the program selected.  Our building has two large classrooms, and we are always open to parent visitation.

Some of our activities include:

• creative play, drama, and imagination

• learning about the world around us and the people in it

• simple science concepts and experiments

• numerical concepts: understanding numbers, counting, sizes and shapes

• socialization: self-esteem, learning to share, waiting your turn, enjoying cooperative play with others, manners

• reading readiness: phonics, recognizing and forming letters, sight words

• exposure to computers - a computer is provided in each classroom

• physical movement: large and small muscle control

• music: rhythm, dance, songs, and games

• art: painting, collage, putting creative ideas on paper, cutting, pasting

• language development: learning new words, verbalizing your ideas, speaking in front of a group

• problem solving: exploring, questioning, sorting, and classifying

• field trips and visits from the Fire Department, Police Department, and dentist
