I am the proud and excited new owner of Play and Learn School (PALS).  I have been a resident of Hillsborough for eight years and am the mother of a five-year-old son who will be attending kindergarten at Amsterdam School this fall.  I have a solid background in the field of education and have been working with children for more than fifteen years:

• Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education

• Master of Arts in Counselor Education

• Taught first grade for 9½ years

• Worked as a teacher at a special needs summer camp for children

• Worked for Mad Science teaching science lessons to children ages 5 - 11

• Worked for Computer Tots teaching computer skills in preschools

• Performed individual tutoring at the elementary level

• Developed and taught the Little Scientist, Reading Readiness, and Arts & Crafts Programs for the Hillsborough Recreation Department (children ages 4 - 6)

• Coordinated a school-wide elementary Talent Show involving more than thirty acts

• Received the Governor's Recognition Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1995

• Certified Domestic Violence Volunteer

• Held positions as Administrative Vice President and Membership Vice President for the MOMS Club of Hillsborough
